Clermont Access and LogisticsPlanning RV Access and Movement Around Clermont
Clermont's rolling landscape and mixture of public and private roads make it useful to describe the actual route from your RV's parking spot to an accessible road.
US Highway 27 and State Road 50 are major regional corridors, but proximity to either road does not automatically make an RV easy to move.
For larger motorhomes and fifth wheels, the immediate driveway, storage lot, or private road can matter more than the distance to the nearest highway.
Rolling Hills, Sloped Driveways, and Tight Access
Clermont's rolling hills are a documented feature of the city. That does not mean every residential driveway is steep, but it makes slope and clearance useful questions for owners whose RVs are parked on a grade.
If your RV is parked on a sloped driveway, describe the grade and whether the vehicle has enough ground clearance to enter or leave the street without striking the surface.
For a motorhome that cannot drive, note any known brake, steering, tire, or wheel problems.
For a travel trailer or fifth wheel, explain whether a suitable tow vehicle could reach the hitch and whether there is room to turn without encountering a wall, fence, tree, or parked car.
Do not attempt unsafe movement to test clearance or towing ability.
Private Roads and Gated Communities
The City of Clermont's road ownership information explains that roads in the area may be maintained by Clermont, Lake County, the Florida Department of Transportation, or private entities.
Some private roads are within gated communities where access is controlled by the property owner or association.
The city identifies Hancock Road, Hartwood Marsh Road, and Citrus Tower Boulevard as examples of roads within city limits maintained by Lake County rather than Clermont.
The important consideration for an RV sale is knowing who controls access to the vehicle.
If your RV is behind a gate, on a private road, or at a managed storage property, confirm whether an appointment, entry code, manager approval, or additional access arrangements would be necessary.
US 27, SR 50, and Local Connections
US 27 and SR 50 are relevant Clermont-area routes. The city and Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization are studying access and operations along part of SR 50 between 12th Street/CR 561 and US 27.
That study does not establish a particular restriction on RV transportation or a route used by EasyRVBuyer.
It reinforces the importance of checking the actual property entrance and any applicable road or equipment restrictions rather than assuming a major road nearby solves every movement problem.
